GCC Manager app · last updated 17 September 2026
GCC Manager is the phone app for owners and managers of garages that run on Garage Command Centre, the garage management dashboard from MOTvault. It shows the day's diary, the customer message inbox, the quotes that need attention and the day's card takings, and lets a signed-in member of staff reply to customers. This page explains what the app handles and where it goes.
Who is responsible
The app and the Garage Command Centre service are provided by Joshua Law, trading as MOTvault, a sole trader registered in England, ICO registration ZC103739.
The garage you sign in to is the data controller for its customers' information: bookings, quotes, messages and payments are that garage's records. MOTvault processes them on the garage's behalf under its Garage Command Centre agreement. The app shows a member of staff only what their own dashboard login is allowed to see.
What the app collects and stores
- Your sign-in email address and a session token, stored on the phone so you stay signed in. Your password is sent once to your garage's Garage Command Centre account to sign you in and is never stored by the app.
- Messages you write to customers. They are sent through your garage's own text and WhatsApp service and saved in the garage's message history, marked as sent.
- A notification token for this phone, only if you switch notifications on, so your garage's account can alert this device. Switching notifications off, signing out or unlinking removes it.
- Your garage's name, so the app knows which garage to connect to.
To do its job the app displays your garage's existing records: today's bookings, customer names and phone numbers, message history, quotes and pay-link payments. These are read from your garage's account when you open the app and are not kept on the phone after you sign out.
What the app does not do
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
- No location data, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access.
- Notifications never contain a customer's name or an amount. They say what happened and ask you to open the app.
- Nothing is shared with anyone outside your garage's Garage Command Centre account.
Where the information goes
The app talks over HTTPS to your garage's Garage Command Centre account, hosted on Supabase, and to your garage's messaging service, which runs on Cloudflare Workers and sends texts and WhatsApp messages through the garage's own providers. Notifications are delivered through Apple's push notification service.
How long it is kept
Messages, bookings, quotes and payments are the garage's business records and are kept for as long as the garage keeps them. On the phone, the app keeps only your sign-in session, the garage name and the notification setting, and removes all of them when you tap Unlink this phone. Sign out removes the session and the notification registration.
Your account
Accounts are created by your garage or by MOTvault, not inside the app. To have your login removed, ask your garage's owner or email us at the address below and it will be deleted along with its notification registrations.
Your rights
If you are a garage customer and want to see, correct or delete information held about you, contact the garage; it holds the record. Staff can ask their garage or MOTvault. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
GCC Manager is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 16.
