GCC Workshop app · for garages on Garage Command Centre

Getting started

  1. Install GCC Workshop on the workshop phone.
  2. Link it to your garage. Type your garage name as the office gives it (MOTvault gives every Garage Command Centre garage a short one) and tap Link.
  3. Enter the workshop code the office gives you. Once only.
  4. Type your name so the office knows who took each photo.

After that the app opens straight on today's cars. Cars that have been ticked in on the dashboard show first.

Common questions

The car I'm working on isn't in the listTap "All today". If it still isn't there it isn't booked in on the dashboard for today, so ask the office to add it. Tap ↻ to refresh.
"That code was not right"The office may have changed the workshop code. Ask them, then enter it again. You can also get to that screen from Settings ⚙ › Enter the workshop code again.
"No garage has that name"Check the name with the office. It is not case-sensitive and spaces or dashes do not matter.
A photo shows "tap to retry"The upload failed, usually signal. Tap the tile and it goes again. Everything else you took keeps uploading in the background.
A video is refused as too bigClips are capped at 60 MB. Film a shorter clip of the fault; a few seconds of the noise is enough.
Phone lost or stolenAsk the office to change the workshop code. The old phone stops working immediately. Nothing on it is worth taking: first names, registrations and the photos it took itself.
Someone else is using this phone nowSettings ⚙ › Change my name. To hand the phone to another garage entirely, Settings ⚙ › Unlink this phone.

For the office

The app uses the same workshop service as the "Workshop" page in your dashboard, so nothing changes on your side: photos arrive in the same "waiting from the workshop" tray and you allocate them onto the quote as before. The workshop code is the same PIN your Workshop page uses. To get a garage name set up, or to change it, contact MOTvault.
